About the Tournament

The Davidson Academy Scibowl Online National Invitational (DASONI) is a online, buzzer-based tournament organized by members of the Davidson Academy Science Bowl club. There will be two divisions: Standard and Competitive
The Standard division will be run on Sunday January 15th and will have questions approximately the same difficulty as High School Regionals. This division is intended for newer high school teams, high school teams who generally do not win their region, and most B and C teams
The Competitive division, run on Saturday April 8th, will have questions approximately at High School Nationals difficulty. This division is geared towards teams who regularly win their regional competition, as well as teams who regularly place in the top three in their region but do not necessarily advance to the National tournament.
We the organizers reserve the right to move teams up a division or recommend teams move down a division. Registration is $30 for A teams, $20 for B and C teams, and $15 for any team from Nevada or Utah. Please note that these costs are for the flagship tournament—Phoenix costs may vary by location.

Updates

Nevada and Maine Phoenix events have been cancelled due to lack of interest. The Connecticut Phoenix event will now be held on 2/19.
